VOLTEK UI
Voltek – UI Design Summary
The user interface (UI) for Voltek was heavily inspired by PUBG (PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) on PC. My focus was on creating a functional, tactical, and competitive UI that provides players with essential combat and survival information without overwhelming the screen.
UI Inspiration: PUBG (PC Version)
-
Combat-Focused Design: Just like PUBG, the UI in Voltek prioritizes quick access to vital information such as health, ammo, weapons, and minimap, ensuring players can make fast decisions during combat.
-
Grid-Based Inventory: I adopted a drag-and-drop, grid-based inventory system similar to PUBG’s, with categorized sections for weapons, gear, consumables, and special items. This gives players complete control over loadouts during gameplay.
-
Minimal Clutter: The HUD is kept clean and professional—no flashy elements—ensuring maximum visibility of the environment and enemies, just like PUBG’s competitive design philosophy.
-
Real-Time Feedback: Real-time updates for damage, kills, bullet counts, and player status are presented in a minimal yet noticeable way using clean icons, transparent UI blocks, and smart alignment.
UI Features I Created:
-
Crosshair reticle and dynamic hit feedback system
-
Ammo counter and gun-switch UI with animation
-
Player HUD showing health, armor, and stamina
-
Inventory panel with categorized gear sections
-
Interactive minimap with danger zones and team pings
-
Options menu supporting controller and keyboard navigation
